Immunity Drink Recipe
How can you boost your immune system with a homemade juice you can whip up in five minutes for just pennies? Read on!
This immune booster juice recipe is my new favorite way to keep colds, flus, and viruses away. I drink it every single day, and it only takes a few minutes to prepare.
This recipe is so cost-effective that anyone can afford it, even if you have an extremely low budget. Even better, you most likely already have these ingredients in your kitchen right now!
They are:
- Honey
- Lemon
- Orange
- Ginger
- Cayenne Pepper
- Turmeric
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Black Pepper
- Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt
- Garlic (Note: The original recipe calls for garlic but I found it too strong for my taste. Garlic is also not recommended to ingest on a regular basis because it kills good bacteria in your gut. In Ayurveda, garlic was used as a medicine only when necessary, not as an every day food staple.)
How To Make the Immune System Drink
STEP 1: Whisk together until smooth:
-1 TB honey
-1/4 tsp turmeric
-1 TB hot water
STEP 2: Add the rest to your honey mixture:
-Juice of 1 lemon
-Juice of 1 orange
-1 tsp. fresh ginger (ground can work if it’s all you have)
-Pinch of cayenne pepper
-Pinch of black pepper
-1 TB Apple Cider Vinegar
-1 clove of garlic (optional; see note above)
Remember, if the flavor is too strong for you, omit the garlic and go easier on the cayenne and black pepper.
You can store this in the fridge for a few days but as with anything, the fresher, the better!
